Your Weight Goals. An Oral Treatment Plan.

Appetite is part of the picture

Approved tirzepatide injections act on two hormone pathways involved in appetite: GIP and GLP-1.*

An oral option

Take your prescription by mouth instead of giving yourself an injection.

Help between refills

Your care team is available between refills.

* The appetite mechanism describes approved tirzepatide injections, not a demonstrated effect of LIV’s oral preparation. Oral absorption and equivalent results have not been established. Zepbound prescribing information, sections 12.1–12.2. This compounded oral prescription is not FDA-approved.

Adults lost at least 5% of their starting weight after 72 weeks with tirzepatide injections.*

Sources and study details

* Jastreboff et al., NEJM (2022), SURMOUNT-1: 2,539 adults with obesity, or overweight and a weight-related complication, without diabetes. Both figures describe the 15 mg once-weekly injection group at 72 weeks, including dose escalation, with lifestyle support. Average weight reduction was 20.9%; 91% lost at least 5% of their starting weight. These are treatment-regimen estimates regardless of discontinuation. Placebo results were 3.1% average loss and 35% reaching at least 5% loss. The 91% is a proportion of participants, not average weight loss. This trial tested injections, not oral tirzepatide. It does not establish the absorption or weight-loss results of LIV’s oral preparation. Study doses are not instructions.

Help Center

Find answers to common questions about treatments, results, prescriptions and what to expect. Still have questions?

How does LIV work?

Start with an online health form. Labs are required for this treatment. A licensed provider reviews your information and decides whether to prescribe. If prescribed, your medicine is delivered to you. You'll complete a short questionnaire before each refill and check in every three months.

Do I need an in-person appointment?

Your intake starts online, without booking an appointment. Labs are required for this treatment. A licensed provider reviews your history and results before prescribing.

How long does it take to get my prescription?

A licensed provider reviews your intake within 48 hours. Your labs must also be reviewed before approval. Once approved and in stock before 1 PM Eastern, the pharmacy ships that day. After approval, delivery usually takes 3 to 5 days. Compounding can add time.

When will my provider review my plan?

Before each refill, tell us how you're doing. Your provider reviews your progress and adjusts your plan as needed. You'll also have a check-in every three months.

Who decides whether this is right for me?

A licensed provider reviews your health history and lab results. They decide whether treatment is right for you, choose your dose and how much to prescribe, and review your plan before refills.

What does compounded mean?

Compounded means a licensed pharmacy mixes the medicine for one person. It is not made in large batches. The FDA does not approve compounded medicines for safety, quality or how they are made.

Can I change, skip or cancel my plan?

Yes. You can change your plan, skip a shipment or cancel from your account. If you want to change your treatment or dose, discuss it with your provider.

Is there an FDA-approved oral tirzepatide?

No. FDA-approved tirzepatide products are injections. If prescribed, your oral medicine is mixed for you by a licensed pharmacy.

Which receptors does tirzepatide act on?

Tirzepatide activates GIP and GLP-1 receptors, the same receptors used by your body's GIP and GLP-1 hormones. This describes the ingredient's mechanism; it does not establish how much your body absorbs from an oral preparation or what results you will experience.

What should my provider know before I start?

Before considering oral tirzepatide, tell your provider about your personal and family thyroid history. Approved tirzepatide injections must not be used if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), or if you have MEN 2. Report a neck lump, trouble swallowing or breathing, or ongoing hoarseness. Zepbound prescribing information.
